TACTICAL RECORD

QUALITY & INTEGRITY

JEV ARCADE / DOTS & BOXES
Connecting to the authoritative server…

A line. A box. Another turn.

Take turns connecting adjacent dots with a horizontal or vertical line. Draw the fourth side of a box to claim it. You score one point per box and keep the move after a capture. A single line can complete two boxes.

You may decline an available capture. All 16 boxes are played; the player with more boxes wins. An 8–8 result is a draw.

Controls

Click or tap an available line. Use arrow keys to move keyboard focus and Enter or Space to draw. An accessible move list appears below the board.

Opponents and rankings

Local practice uses a deterministic heuristic and search—not JEV. JEV API play requires a server-side TypeSafe key. Difficulties change features and bounded search. Ranked games require Discord, a pinned JEV model, and a replay-verified result. Provider failures void ranked eligibility.

Analytics

The game records moves, candidates, model evidence, timing, usage and verification. Decision certainty is not a win probability. Tactical regret appears only for fully solved positions. Human turn duration includes idle time and network delay.

Start a new board?

An unfinished match will be recorded as a concession. Your existing replay and analytics remain in the server history until retention expires.

Your evidence, portable.

Full JSON includes the manifest, candidate features, decision evidence and hash-linked event journal. CSV files are spreadsheet-safe.

Exports omit account credentials and Discord community identifiers. Match IDs are pseudonymous, not anonymous.
